Meg F. Hogan

Biography

Meg Hogan's practice focuses on all aspects of complex civil litigation. She represents clients in connection with a wide-ranging spectrum of legal matters, including transportation law, trucking law, personal injury, product liability, premises liability and toxic tort matters. Meg has a variety of experience in formulating strategies for discovery, depositions and settlement negotiations. Prior to joining Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP, she worked at a civil litigation firm in Chicago where she represented and defended clients in toxic tort matters, premises liability and personal injury.

Prior to entering private practice, Meg was as an Assistant State's Attorney in the Winnebago County State's Attorney's Office. As a prosecutor, she handled matters ranging from misdemeanor criminal charges to felony cases. She participated oral arguments on multiple motions and litigated multiple jury trials and bench trials.

Meg is licensed to practice in Illinois, Wisconsin and Missouri, as well as the Northern District of Illinois. Meg currently serves as Vice Chair on her firm’s Trucking and Transportation Practice Group.
