Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP Hosts “Sound of Summer” Showcase at House of Blues Chicago
Swanson, Martin & Bell, LLP's Entertainment and Media Law Practice will host its third annual music showcase on July 18, 2017 at the House of Blues Chicago.
Newly branded as “Sound of Summer,” the firm welcomes four emerging artists to perform beginning at 6:30 p.m. Performers include:
- The War on Peace, a Chicago-based band creating music with a lush, ethereal sonic landscape (9:30 p.m. showtime)
- Molehill combines elements of progressive rock with pop sensibilities along with expansive and emotionally charged lyrics, this band delivers a symphonic listening experience (8:30 p.m. showtime)
- Antony + the Tramps, described by the Illinois Entertainer as wonderfully orchestrated roots rock for the 21st century. (7:30 p.m. showtime)
- Mutts, a keys/bass/drums trio described as “Tom Waits fronting a garage band” by Time Out Magazine. (6:30 p.m. showtime)

Sound of Summer features a charitable component, with a portion of the proceeds from every ticket sale benefitting the Chicago Children’s Choir and Lawyers for the Creative Arts, organizations whose missions are to foster and protect local artists, respectively. Raffle tickets will also be sold with 100 percent of the proceeds benefitting these organizations.
